    If you live to go slacklining and want to learn how to slackline for a living then this course is for you. With the emergence of balance as a sixth sense and slacklining as the most fun fitness activity ever, there is a real need for balance trainers and Slackline Australia Coaches to professionally share slacklining with the rest of Australia.  


    So you already have some slacklining skills that you can demonstrate and want to coach slackliners in a commercial environment. This course will prepare you with the knowledge and skills to run a community active and healthy slacklining course.  You can use the Slackline Australia network to run routine sessions to earn a living or simply make some coin to fund your next slackline expedition or purchase.


    During the course you will learn to:

    Explain how the balance system works; Identify Hazards; Select Appropriate Sites; Maintain Industry Standards; Routinely Inspect Equipment; Recognise unsafe practices; Demonstrate Correct Spilling and Spotting Techniques;  Apply General Coaching Principals; Facilitate Groups; Minimise environmental impact; Market & Promote Courses; Apply Sports Law; Efficiently Record & Report to promote Slacklining and minimise liability and maximise earnings.


    For Skilled Slackliners this course is 2 days plus 25hrs home study & project work.


















    Application Process:



    Assessment Information:

    The Slackline Australia Coaching Course assesses through observation, questioning, portfolio, project and presentation:-

    Induction- to Commercial Environment, OH&S, Risk Assessments, Codes of Conduct, Industry  standards.

    Basic Slacklining Skill Assessment- Site Selection, Hazard ID & Briefing, Spilling & Spotting Techniques, Correct Mounts, Balanced Walking, Simple postures

    Attunement- Aspects of Balance, Professional Slackline Australia Network, Best Practices

    Training- General Guiding Skills & Principles, Professionalising your Practice, Duty of Care, Recording & Reporting.   

    Transfer-  using best practice, knowledge of sports law, General Coaching Principals, Group Facilitation, provide services within funded frameworks.

    Approximately 25hrs is required post physical assessment to produce your Slackline Australia Professional Practices Profile & complete your project.
