                             Learn to be a Slackline Australia Instructor – Level 2


    Benchmark your practice with the best and rise above any cause for concern.  You will learn to be a leader in this industry and a master of providing Slackline Australia Courses that will certainly bring balance to the wider community.


    You are a skilled slackliner and you know that this is your calling.  You will be able to set a level of professional practice that rises above all adventure activity standards that could be applied. You will be able to solve problems and establish events and courses that other Slackline Australia leaders can support you in. You’ll probably end up running camps, clinics and own a Slackline Australia Centre of Balance, or some new cool brand. The pre-2013 Level 1 is equivalent to Level 2 if currency has been demonstrated.


    During the course you will learn to:

    Teach How the Balance System Works; Identify Hazards; Select Appropriate Sites; Implement & Monitor Course delivery; Maintain Industry Standards; Routinely Inspect Equipment; Recognise unsafe practices; Instruct Correct Spilling and Spotting Techniques;  Apply General Coaching Principals; Facilitate Groups; Minimise environmental impact; Market & Promote Courses;  Apply Sports Law; conducting and supervising challenging and inspiring slacklining courses; Establishing professional documentation to win contracts, tenders and unbelievable life changing gigs; Efficiently Record & Report to promote Slacklining

    and minimise liability and maximise career earnings.


    For Skilled Slackliners this course is 2 ½ - 3 days, phone support, plus 40hrs home study & project work.


    Assessment Information:

    The Slackline Australia Coaching Course assesses through observation, questioning, portfolio, projects and presentations:-

    Induction- to Commercial Environment, OH&S, Risk Assessments, Codes of Conduct & Industry  standards.

    Basic Slacklining Skill Assessment- Site Selection, Hazard ID & Briefing, Spilling & Spotting Techniques, Correct Mounts, Balanced Walking, & Simple postures.

    Attunement- Aspects of Balance, Professional Slackline Australia Network & Best Practices.

    Training- General Guiding Skills & Principles, Professionalising your Practice, Duty of Care, Recording & Reporting.   

    Transfer- Using best practice, knowledge of sports law, General Coaching Principals, Group Facilitation & establishing services within funded frameworks.

    Lead: Professional Practice and industry by surveying; client, group, environmental and  financial needs.

    Approximately 40hrs post assessment will be required for you to produce your Slackline Australia Professional Practices Profile and to complete your project.
