As a Slackline Australia Guide you will be able to lead a group of slackliners to provide a fun, safer experience and rest assured that you are reducing your liability exposure by meeting industry standards for providing professional Slacklining sessions in a commercial environment.
Why join this slacklining course: Once you can competently demonstrate basic slacklining skills, doing the Slackine Australia Guide Program is your first step to become a registered professional provider of slacklining sessions. It will give you the fundamentals required for being a Slackline Australia Coach to train competitors or go on to work as a Slackline Australia Instructor
What's covered in the course: During the course you will learn to: Explain how the balance system works; Identify Hazards; Select Appropriate sites; Follow Industry Standards; Routinely Inspect Equipment; Recognise unsafe practices; Demonstrate Correct Spilling and Spotting Techniques; Efficiently Record & Report to promote Slacklining and minimise liability.
Assessment information: The Slackline Australia Guiding Program assesses through observation, questioning & a portfolio:- Induction- to Commercial Environment, OH&S, Risk Assessments, Codes of Conduct, Industry standards. Basic Slacklining Skill Assessment- Site Selection, Hazard ID & Briefing, Spilling & Spotting Techniques, Correct Mounts, Balanced Walking, Simple postures Attunement- Aspects of Balance, Professional Slackline Australia Network, Best Practices Training- General Guiding Skills & Principals, Professionalising your Practice, Duty of Care, Recording & Reporting. Typically it takes 10hrs afterwards to produce your Slackline Australia Professional Practices Profile.
After the course you will receive a Certificate of Participation, registration can be sought upon submitting your professional profile, meeting the standards & amp; committing to the code.
